Do you have a new blessed palm leave from our Catholic Church today?
Where will you place it when you bring home? Some people will put it at their main entrance, altar, car or elsewhere. But, my priority will be one to be installed at my main entrance.
How many of us can really know that our blessed palm leave can "deliver" extraordinarily for us beside knowing of its significant symbol from the bible? We know that everything can only turn awesome with FAITH; or otherwise, it will just remain natural. This is because our Lord Jesus Christ has empowering us with His Authority through prayer.
One evening, a non-Catholic lady was invited to come and join us in our rosary prayer. She didn't come alone, but with the companionship of her Catholic girlfriend. She was given a rosary and a booklet to follow us in recitation.
Here, I want to share about an extraordinary event that happened when I was leading a rosary prayer. In the midst of our prayer, we suddenly heard many children started running, playing and screaming, but there wasn't any child with us. Following this, the non-Catholic guest displayed a shocking action by springing herself from the ground to the high ceiling of the house, and landed onto the floor, somersaulted and stayed flat behind a couch screaming and yelling in various voices with pain and agony. The rosary she was holding broke into pieces; including of the little medal of our Blessed Virgin Mary. My prayer members were obviously in shock.
I was able to discern and identify and ministered to her immediately. Our team continued in praying to deliver her from "interference". Obviously, she didn't like holy water being sprinkled on her. She would continue to shout, scream and defy our action. She was obviously aggressive and defensive and even punched an assisting member. We engaged her with no peaceful end.
Then, I was prompted with faith to use a palm leave to help her. I sprinted to my car (as it was a landed property) to get it and returned to pat her a few times with prayers. She displayed great torment and shook her body violently to the last straw and eventually rested peacefully. She regained her composure and calmness. Then, she started running towards the Holy Family Shrine and cried uncontrollably to show gratitude for God's deliverance.
I wish to highlight that holy water, palm leave, blessed medal, scapular or crucifix alone MAY never has a protective effect when one is weak in faith, and is not living a discipleship life. Even if one has faith but with no love, the given authority of Christ for our asking in prayer is questionable. I had witnessed Catholic home with a big crucifix displayed at their main door, and yet the house was haunted. The "enemy" can possess a person by entering the backdoor of his soul when he is living a very sinful life. However, we cannot deny that God will listen to a faithful disciple living a prayerful life.
Good News: I had just learnt that this non-Catholic lady has been converted to Catholic with her husband and two children, and she is serving in one of the church's ministries.
